My name is Nathan Grizenko, and I am a recent graduate of Ohio State University's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program! I am now a certified and licensed occupational therapist with a passion for community-based practice and social justice!
Because OT allows me to make a difference in the lives of so many people from all backgrounds, I'm driven to do my best as an occupational therapy student and show empathy toward my clients. It permits me to meet their needs and treat people—not just problems—in a client-centered fashion. My teamwork and leadership skills have and will make me a great member of any organization.
I am passionate by nature but tenacious by necessity.
In a world where being one thing doesn’t cut it, I'm determined to be a well-rounded student and an effective, knowledgeable, and compassionate clinician.
As part of my Doctoral Capstone Experience, I had the pleasure of working with the City of Dublin in Central Ohio to organize and lead a walk audit. One of my goals was to create a toolkit to educate folks on facilitating what the Age-Friendly Innovation Center calls an 'age-friendly walk audit,' which places emphasis on the experiences of older adults. After all, what's good for an older adult is good for everyone!
